CAIA: Total Portfolio Approach

We attended the Total Portfolio Approach event hosted by CAIA London, in collaboration with the Thinking Ahead Institute, on Wednesday, 17 September 2025. The session offered a candid and forward-looking discussion on the evolution from Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) to the Total Portfolio Approach (TPA).

Moderated by Aaron Filbeck of the CAIA Association, the panel featured Roger Urwin, Jayne Bok, Mads Gosvig, and a senior investment leader from USS, who shared valuable insights into lessons learned, common hurdles, and the cultural shifts needed to move from theory to implementation.
