The Commodities Research Forum brought together market experts, leading researchers, and industry leaders to examine some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the global commodities landscape.

Held at LSEG’s London PSQ headquarters, the forum opened with a keynote session and was followed by three focused panel discussions. The first, The Electrification Era, explored the transition from fossil fuels to renewables and nuclear, and considered the implications across power, LNG, and metals markets. Decarbonizing Commodity Markets examined how carbon policies and related mechanisms were reshaping oil, gas, agriculture, shipping, and metals. The final session, Commodity Security, analysed historical and potential future supply shocks driven by geopolitics, climate change, and trade policy, and discussed how markets might adapt.

The event provided a strong platform for strategic dialogue and expert insight, helping attendees better understand how to navigate a rapidly evolving commodities landscape. The day concluded with a cocktail reception, which offered an opportunity to continue discussions, network with peers, and explore selected LSEG solutions.
