LSEG Commodities Forum

LSEG’s London PSQ headquarters hosted a half-day event on 10 September, bringing together market experts, top researchers, and industry leaders to explore the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the commodities landscape. The agenda featured a keynote opening session and three focused panel discussions:

• The Electrification Era – examined the shift from fossil fuels to renewables and nuclear, and its implications across power, LNG, and metals.

• Decarbonizing Commodity Markets – explored how carbon policies and mechanisms reshaped oil, gas, agriculture, shipping, and metals.

• Commodity Security – analysed past and future supply shocks driven by geopolitics, climate change, and trade policy, and how markets could adapt.
