Liminal job role: Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

We’re looking for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join us, in London. If you have one to three years of experience in corporate communications, within a financial services context, and a genuine curiosity about the financial sector, we will back you with the kind of support , development opportunities and benefits that most agencies reserve for much more senior hires.
Salary range: £26,000 – £33,000
What you’ll be doing
- Developing story angles and pitching financial and business journalists via email, phone and in person
- Building and maintaining strong media relationships
- Spotting opportunities in breaking news and market developments
- Drafting press releases, commentary, articles and other client content
- Supporting day-to-day client communications and media activity
- Developing narratives around complex financial and fintech topics
- Monitoring media coverage, industry developments and competitor activity
- Developing a strong working knowledge of clients’ businesses and sectors
- Helping ensure the team delivers against KPIs and plans ahead each quarter
What we’re looking for
- One to three years of experience in financial or corporate communications, in-house or at an agency
- Genuine curiosity about financial services and the habit of staying informed
- Confidence in client-facing situations
- Solid media relations experience and an understanding of what makes a good story
- Strong writing skills and an eye for detail
- Someone who is proactive, organised and happy to get involved in all aspects of a small agency
- A positive, enthusiastic and collaborative team player
