Liminal across the rooms that matter

We kicked off the month by hosting our own Liminal Conversations evening on 5 May, bringing together senior financial services communications professionals to explore the role of earned media in AI search. With Anna Corbett of exceptional and Ed Targett of The Stack joining as speakers, the discussion covered how LLMs retrieve and surface information, why people matter more than brands in AI visibility, and what an integrated communications strategy looks like in this environment.

The 2026 Morningstar Investment Conference UK followed on the 7th, bringing together advisers, wealth managers, and fund selectors for a full day of expert-led sessions covering AI valuations, geopolitical risk, and portfolio positioning in a fragmented world. We also had representation at the Funds Europe and ALFI European Fund Finance Securitisation Forum, where senior figures from across fund finance, securitisation, and private markets gathered to explore liquidity solutions and the growing role of structured finance.

Shortly after, we attended the relaunch celebration for exceptional, formerly Base Creative, before joining the GenTwo team at Langan’s Brasserie for the launch of their book Assetization, a compelling account of the growing AMC market. We also had representation at the WE London event featuring May Busch and her book Visible, focused on career advancement for financial services professionals.

We then joined ETF Ecosystem Unwrapped 2026, ETF Stream’s flagship two-day gathering at Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s, where active ETFs, retail adoption, and ETF execution mechanics all featured prominently.

June got underway with the Professional Adviser MPS Showcase on the 3rd, followed by the Women in ETFs x BlackRock: The Future of Investing evening on the 4th, where the conversation on investor confidence and education among women was particularly strong.

Looking ahead, July brings HFC Tipples on the Terrace on the 1st and the ALFI London Conference on the 2nd, with DAS 2026 on 21 September rounding out the autumn calendar.
